Goodbye Cambodia


Goodbye Cambodia (លាហើយកម្ពុជា) is a song which is recently well-known by Cambodian after the death of the King Father NORODOM SIHANOUK. It was widely distributed via social networks such as Facebook and Youtube. As well as, the song was sang by current Cambodia singers through various Television stations namely Bayon TV, Phnom Penh TV, and other programmes in TVK.

After the Lon Nol’s coup in 1970, he could not enter Cambodia’s territory so that he composed lyric of a song which its melody was taken from his favorite Japanese song. The song was recorded and sang again by His Majesty for his 8th Royal Singing Album in December 2003. The song was acknowledged as a sense of nationalism and monarchism due to the meaning of the song was stated of his love and his sacrifice to Cambodia with no ending.
